ECHA released list of list of countries that allow Creosote for sleepers and utility poles

In Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1950 on the renewing the approval of creosote for use in biocidal products Member States were obliged to inform ECHA on their decision regarding the future use of Creosote for for railway sleepers or utility poles for electricity and telecommunication.

This list has now been released by ECHA and can be found below.
Countries listed in the document indicated that wood treated with creosote may be placed on the market of the Member State (or EEA States or Switzerland) for the concerned use.

When a Member State (or EEA States or Switzerland) is not listed i, the placing on the market of treated wood in its territory for the use concerned is no longer possible as of 30 April 2023.
