European Institute for Wood Preservation welcomes all businesses, organisations and persons involved in the production, processing, and distribution of treated wood products in Europe to become a member. This includes wood preservation companies, sawmills, suppliers of chemicals used in wood preservation, equipment manufacturers, research and test institutes and more.
In addition, companies and organisations involved in outdoor construction, such as decking, fencing, landscaping, and playgrounds, are also encouraged to join. This includes architects, engineers, and contractors who specialise in these types of projects.
Ultimately, anyone who is interested in promoting the use of treated wood products in outdoor applications in Europe and supporting the growth and advancement of the treated wood industry can become a member.
Membership categories specified in the statutes of European Institute for Wood Preservation is:
- Companies active to enhance the durability of wood by an industrial process
- National trade organisations organizing the companies above
- Suppliers to the wood preservation industry
- Scientists and institutions working in the field of wood preservation
Members pay an annual contribution based upon production volumes. For non producing members there is a small annual fee for each category of membership.
