1 March 2023 – Breakfast seminar with EU decision makers
WEI is planning, together with the Miltton consultancy agency, a breakfast seminar for politicians and decision-makers in Brussels.
The event will focus on wood in construction and especially durability aspects of it and the value of treated wood. Preparations are ongoing but provisional agreements have been reached with Ed Suttie from the UK Building& Research Establishment and Mr Paul Brannen, director Public Affairs at CEI-Bois and former member of the European Parliament to act as a speaker.
Mr Nils Torvalds, Finnish member of the European Parliament has confirmed to be participating as a speaker.

7-9 September 2023 – WEI Annual meeting Berlin
